Jim Gerretson

Jim Gerretson is Director of National Intelligence and Information Operations for dNovus, a $20mm government services contractor. Mr. Gerretson is an internationally recognized expert in Information Assurance and is extremely well regarded in the United States intelligence community as a cyber-security expert. Mr. Gerretson has over 28 years experience in the areas of Information Assurance (IA), Network and Computer Security, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering and Program Management. Additionally, he has earned a strong reputation for delivering client satisfaction and profitability for the groups he has managed during his 20 years plus in management.

As Director of IA for Lockheed-Martin, (formerly Affiliated Computer Services Defense, Inc.) he led a team of 120 in providing IA services including penetration testing, security consulting and networking design, cyber-forensics, security products evaluation, security policy evaluation and creation, and security training for the NSA, DoD, DoE, state government, and commercial organizations. Mr. Gerretson built this group from its inception, establishing a globally preeminent IA team.

Mr. Gerretson began his IA career as a Cryptologic Technician in the U.S. Navy and he has held technical positions with Ford Aerospace, JG Vandyke & Associates, and Computer Sciences Corporation.

Mr. Gerretson has testified before committees of the U.S. Congress on issues related to protecting the IT infrastructure of the United States and as an expert witness on Information Security matters. He has been a featured speaker at national and international conferences, including the Information Warfare Conference in London and he has been cited by the National Security Agency for his efforts and results on their behalf.

Jim holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Kennedy Western University.
