ClassifEye, Ltd, a developer of secure biometric authentication and identity
management (IDM) solutions, has added three world-class IT security experts
to its Technical Board of Advisors. ClassifEye's software and proprietary,
patent pending technology enables secure, highly reliable, fingerprint
identification using the on-board camera in cell phones. This software-only
solution eliminates the need and cost of hardware sensors and accelerates
the deployment of mobile IDM for mCommerce, mBanking, enterprise security
and other applications.
The Technical Board of Advisors will help ensure that ClassifEye provides
the highest degree of security for its products, solutions and applications.
Dr. Avi Rubin is Professor of Computer Science and Technical Director of the
Information Security Institute at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore,
Maryland. Dr. Rubin is perhaps most famous for exposing vulnerabilities in
Diebold's Accuvote electronic voting machines, but has also hacked and/or
exposed vulnerabilities in numerous other high profile products and
technologies, including ExxonMobil's payment technology, SpeedPass. Dr.
Rubin has authored several books and is Associate Editor of IEEE
Transactions on Software Engineering, Associate Editor of ACM Transactions
on Internet Technology, Associate Editor of IEEE Security & Privacy, and an
Advisory Board member of Springer';s Information Security and Cryptography
Book Series. He directs the NSF-funded ACCURATE center for correct,
usable, reliable, auditable and transparent elections and also serves on the
DARPA Information Science and Technology Study Group. Dr. Rubin was
formerly a research scientist at AT&T Labs. He is a co-founder of
Independent Security Evaluators (securityevaluators.com), a security
consulting firm in Baltimore, and serves on the Advisory Boards of several
companies as well as Nobska Ventures. In January, 2004 Baltimore
Magazine name Rubin a Baltimorean of the Year for his work in safeguarding
the integrity of our election process. He is also the recipient of the
2004 Electronic Frontiers Foundation Pioneer Award. Dr. Rubin has a
B.S., M.S.E., and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
Dr. David Goldschlag is Executive Vice President of Operations at Trust
Digital, a leading provider of enterprise smart phone security. Dr.
Goldschlag has over 20 years of experience in start-up, commercial,
government, and academic environments, and has held senior management roles
at Trusted Edge, USinternetworking, Inc., and DivX, where he combined IT
system, security, and cryptography expertise with operational experience
building and managing large-scale information systems. Dr. Goldschlag
has also held positions within the U.S. Department of Defense and NSA, is a
co-inventor on four granted patents, and has published over 30 academic
papers on subject matters such as database technologies, cryptography,
conditional access, and computer security. Dr. Goldschlag has worked
across many industries, including entertainment, financial services,
technology, venture capital, and legal. He holds a Ph.D. in computer
science from the University of Texas at Austin, and a B.S. from Wayne State
University.
Dr. Craig Miller is currently acting CEO of Aguru Images, a start-up company
developing image capture equipment and is a member of Nobska Ventures' Board
of Advisors. He was most recently Principal Consultant at Northern
Virginia-based Cigital Inc., a leading software security and quality
consulting firm. Formerly at MAPA Group, Dr. Miller has worked with numerous
startup organizations and companies entering new markets. Previously,
he was Chief Scientist at SAIC, where he concentrated on electronic commerce
and established SAIC's Electronic Commerce Rapid Application Development
Laboratory (EC RADLab™), defining its mission, establishing its
infrastructure, recruiting its members, and building its trademark RAD
methodology, which served as an incubator for e-commerce ventures within and
outside of SAIC. At SAIC, he also helped create CATEX™, the first and
highly successful online reinsurance exchange, and GreenOnline™, an online
market for products and services related to the environment. For his
work on CATEX, Dr. Miller received a gold medal 1998 from the Smithsonian
Institution for "Heroic Achievement in Information Technology", and the 1999
SAIC award for outstanding technical performance. Prior to joining
SAIC, Dr. Miller was the first CTO of Proxicom, where he participated in its
sale to Dimension Data and stayed on as the North American CTO and Global
Chief Architect.
