Nobska Venture Partners I, L.P. has made a series A investment in Network Security Consulting, Inc. an IT security consulting and out-sourcing services organization. We believe that NSC is positioned to successfully transition to a software product focused business with a highly scalable business model and attractive profit margins and cash flows.
NSC has created unique and proprietary software, The Common Compliance Framework (CCF), for the management of security and regulatory compliance. NSC's product transforms the complex and arcane arena of security into a clear, rational, and comprehensive business function. This "strategic" approach to security and compliance enables Chief Security Officers and other C-level executives to:
"Map" complete security and regulatory compliance requirements, including policies and procedures; Rationally allocate limited resources; Eliminate redundant security and compliance efforts; Provide clear visibility to other senior executives and board members; Enable on-going audit of security condition and compliance efforts underway; Trace specific security and compliance tasks, projects and initiatives to various requirements; and Achieve overall optimal levels of security and compliance.
NSC's product has received enthusiastic praise from the highest levels of the security arena, and proven decisive in winning long-term outsourcing relationships with large NSC customers. CCF is being "unbundled" and "productized" for sale to companies in regulated industries such as healthcare, financial services, and utilities, and to other publicly-traded companies. First "product-only" sales expected in second or third quarter 2005. Sales are expected to be made both directly and through channel partners.
